Angels drawn away to Peps All Stars in President's Cup
Sue’s Angels FC will travel to Peps All Stars in the first round of the Brian Howard President’s Cup.
The draw, completed on Wednesday 16 September, placed the Angels in Tie 2. A date and venue have yet to be confirmed by the Southern Sunday Football League.

A first meeting
Peps All Stars are completely new opposition for Sue’s Angels.
The clubs have never met in the league, a cup competition or a friendly, leaving both sides without a previous result to study.
That unfamiliarity adds another dimension to the Angels’ first President’s Cup campaign. With no existing form line between the teams, preparation, discipline and the ability to understand the contest quickly will be essential.
The route ahead
A total of 28 clubs entered the competition. Twenty-four will contest the first round, while Celtic Swans, Deportivo Los Toros, Pure FC 2.0 and Shepherds Tuesday received byes.
If the Angels overcome Peps All Stars, Celtic Swans will await them in the second round.
The quarter-final section contains Deportivo Los Toros, Balham and Clapham Albion and League Eight opponents Haydons Park. That creates the possibility of a reunion with the side beaten 8–1 at The Reeves, although both clubs must first progress through their earlier ties.
Possible semi-final opponents include Brockwell Violets, Three Little Birds, Sporting Club Catania, Hillside Blues, BPR, Pure Football 1st Team, Bristol City (London) Supporters and Larkhall City.

| Round | Tie | Possible opposition |
|---|---|---|
| First round | 2 | Peps All Stars, away |
| Second round | 20 | Celtic Swans |
| Quarter-final | 23 | Deportivo Los Toros, Haydons Park or Balham and Clapham Albion |
| Semi-final | 26 | One of eight clubs from the Angels’ half |
| Final | 27 | Winner of the opposite half |
League Eight rivals TSM Rovers, Junction Elite, Barnes Stormers and Old Freemen’s are all positioned in the opposite half. The Angels could only meet one of those clubs in the final.
Experience to build upon
Sue’s Angels played 15 cup ties and won 11 during their first season.
Their longest run came in the Dylan Rigobert Trophy, where victories over Brockwell Violets, Larkhall City, Barnes Stormers and Hillside Blues earned the club a place in the final.
The Angels scored 21 goals and conceded only once across those four victories before losing 3–0 to FC Porto of London in the final.
That experience showed both sides of knockout football. The team demonstrated its ability to produce commanding performances, but also learned how quickly a cup journey can end.
The President’s Cup now offers another opportunity to compete for silverware and build upon an encouraging first-season record.
League business comes first
Before attention turns fully towards Peps All Stars, the Angels face two important League Eight fixtures.
Sue’s Angels travel to Junction Elite on Sunday 20 September before welcoming Barnes Stormers to The Reeves the following weekend.
The Angels currently lead League Eight after opening the campaign with a hard-fought 2–1 victory over Three Little Birds and an emphatic 8–1 win against Haydons Park.
The date for the cup tie will be announced once confirmed by the league.
For now, the route is visible, but only the opening challenge matters.
