The full report.

Sue’s Angels FC beat Pure Football FC 2.0 2-0 away in a pre-season friendly on Sunday 2 August 2026, at Barn Elms Sports centre, a solid win.

Sue’s Angels FC lined up in a 3-4-2-1. Stewart Luwawa wore the armband.

On the scoresheet: Ade Owolana (with his left foot from inside the box) and Leon Burnett (with his right foot from outside the box, sent through by Ade Owolana).

Neither Ade Owolana nor Leon Burnett had started a competitive match for the club before this one. Luke Munns has kept thirteen clean sheets for the club.

Pure Football will be in League Eight with us this season, so it was a useful early look at them. The youngsters were quality at the back alongside Jim.

Jeev impressed in the first half. Stewart was given the armband and looked rusty, understandably in a first pre-season game.

Harry brought that engine in the middle, on the front foot all afternoon, never stopped running. Good to see the boys come off the bench.

Both scorers joined from Sheen Park over the summer. A tough afternoon in the heat, shaking off the rust.

Ade showed signs of quality, with some beautiful touches and passes, and it was his pass that put Leon through for the second. Leon, LJ to the lads, made an impact on his first start.

The clubs have met before: 2 meetings and 2 wins, 12 scored and 1 conceded. The last two finished 5-0 at home in Sep 25 and 7-1 away in Nov 25.

Thanks to Pure Football for hosting and good luck to them for the season.
